Dr. Traci Joy Seidman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and State Certified Sex Therapist practicing at the Associates in Behavioral Counseling since 1986. She utilizes a holistic approach, combining hypnosis and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in treating all age groups with many different types of psychological and adjustment problems. Dr. Seidman works with individuals, couples and families in order to establish life changes required to help her patients achieve effective results. Dr. Seidman has specialized with adolescentsand children, as well as anxiety disorders, chronic pain and chronic illness. Dr. Seidman encourages her patients' awareness of the mind-body connection, and she is sensitive to their individual spiritual needs. She focuses on helping people develop insight and awareness to achieve positive solutions and adaptations to their lives. Her unpretentious, warm and caring approach, combined with a professional, but relaxed, office atmosphere make for an easy and comfortable experience.
Dr Seidman has enjoyed a great variety of training, expertise and interest in her 24 years of experience. She has worked closely with children in many capacities including psychoeducational assessment for Gifted, LD and ADHD evaluations. Dr. Traci takes a special interest in adolescent girls. In her years of experience she has had an exceptionally easy ability to bond with and relate to this population. She has done extensive training in Hypnotherapy. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher, RYT. And now, to add to her repertoire, Dr. Seidman is a State Certified Sex Therapist.
Dr. Seidman has been a member of the Board of Directors of the MS Foundation since 1999 and and on-line doctor on their website. She writes frequent articles in their magazine, MSFocus, which is published quarterly. Dr. Traci Seidman has been practicing Clinical Hypnotherapy for over five years. In addition to simply being a useful adjunct to psychotherapy and a wonderfully relaxing experience, it has been extremely effective on a wide variety of problems. She has had remarkable success is helping people quit smoking. Hypnosis is also useful in treating panic attacks, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, low self esteem.
